2014 Sochi women’s hockey: USA vs. Canada gold medal game live stream, TV time

The women’s hockey game between USA and Canada will determine the gold medal winner. It is the final women's hockey game for American hockey fans to appreciate in Sochi. The game will have the two top North American countries battle it out on the ice. So what are the Americans doing different in 2014 to focus on winning the gold? According to NBC Olympics on Wednesday the women gathered for a lengthy film session and the coach went over concerns with the individual players. Since this is the fourth time in five Olympics that America has played against the Canadians for the gold medal, there has been emphasis on making game winning shots.

Over the past month other regimens of the USA hockey team have been revealed as well. There is a dietitian on staff to help the woman eat protein to build up power for longer periods in the game and the team has really focused on making the most of their time on the ice.

American fans can watch the hockey game on Thursday during their lunch hour on the east coast (or midmorning on the pacific coast.) Watching the free live stream online is one way to support USA hockey and see all the live action. Team USA will play against Canada at 12 p.m. ET. Fans should note that on television the NBC Sports Network will broadcast the game live. Or you can live stream it on NBC Olympics Live Extra or NBC Olympics.com.
