What time does the 2014 Winter Olympics closing ceremony start and how can you watch it live online?

NBC TV will broadcast the 2014 Sochi Winter Games closing ceremonies on tape delay on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014.

Although all of the Winter Games competition has been available to watch online via NBC Live Extra, NBC will not broadcast the opening ceremonies online.

The closing ceremonies begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22 at Fisht Olympic Stadium in Sochi, Russia. NBC will show the entire event on replay at 8:30 p.m. ET on your local NBC station.

The show is not expected to be as spectacular as the opening ceremony, but will include a parade of athletes. Julie Chu will carry the United States flag on Sunday night. The 31-year-old U.S. hockey team member helped the U.S. win a silver in the 2014 Olympic games.

During the closing ceremony, the Olympic flag will be handed over to the mayor of Pyeongchang, South Korea, the site of the 2018 Winter Games.

Although the games in South Korea are four years away, it will give that country plenty of time to prepare and outdo Russia when it comes to accommodations for athletes, media and anyone who plans on attending the 2018 Winter Olympics.

#SochiProblems became a popular hashtag during the 2014 Sochi Winter Games after incomplete hotel rooms and restrooms forced many athletes and visitors to complain via tweets and Facebook posts.

Countless stray dogs in Sochi and the failure of one of the five Olympic rings failing to function at the opening ceremonies were also viral topics on Facebook and Twitter.

Tune in to watch the closing ceremonies of the 2014 Winter Olympics on NBC TV at 8:30 p.m. ET on Feb. 23, 2014.
