The Olympic hockey schedule is going to have the viewers glued to the set for the 2014 Sochi Olympics. One of the first games is on February 12 with Team USA opening against Slovakia. The preliminary round will be a taste of what is expected to be some epic matches that begin next week. According to Bleacher Report on Monday, the dream team of American hockey is composed of NHL players and there has been plenty of questions on the choices of the athletes going to Russia. Hopefully the attention out of the arena won’t be a distraction on the ice.

The biggest rivalry has to be between Team USA and Canada. The competition has been growing over the years. In 2010 at Vancouver, when the two teams met in the gold medal game it was Canada that won. Team USA might be looking to get some revenge.

The good news for fans of Team USA is the men’s hockey is going to be on television live at decent times for fans. All the games for Team USA will be broadcast live and it’s expected that the gold medal game will be one of the biggest viewership draws, next to the Olympic figure skating. If USA or Russia is in the final game, expect the viewership to be over the top as the fans love watching both teams.
