2014 SAG Award nominations announced for television: 'Breaking Bad' leads

Let the nominations for the first major awards season begin! The 2014 Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) announced their nominees in television and films Wednesday morning. TNT and TBS carried the announcement presentation live on their official network websites from the Pacific Design Center’s Silver Screen Theater located in West Hollywood. Clark Gregg of ABC’s “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I. E.L.D” and Sasha Alexander, the SAG Award Social Media Ambassador, presented the categories and its nominees in television first.

Breaking Bad” led the way with the most nominations totaling four. “Homeland,” “Boardwalk Empire,” and “Game of Thrones” received three nods each for drama series. “30 Rock,” “The Big Bang Theory,” and “Modern Family” also scored three for sitcoms. For network television HBO ruled over the rest receiving a total of 13 noms. The 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild will be presented on Saturday, January 18 on TNT and TBS at 8 p.m. ET.
