Every New Year is the beginning of a new chapter in our lives. We look forward to the new things that will come our way and excitedly await for them.

We have many new things to look forward to this year and movies are one of them. Lucky for us, 2014 is filled with many anticipated movie releases.

Anticipated films of 2014 include “Transformers: Age of Extinction”, “Divergent”, “X-Men: Days of Future Past”, “The Amazing Spiderman 2”, “Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 1”, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and “Veronica Mars”.

To list the top five most anticipated films of 2014, Fandango asked viewers which films they are most excited about and the results are in.

Predictably, the list is dominated by sequels of films we all love such as “Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 1” and “X-Men: Days of Future Past”. There is, however, one non-sequel film that makes the top five list. “Divergent”, a film based on the popular young adult novel of the same title is expected to be another franchise hit we do not want to miss.

Of course, everyone loves a good superhero film and they are expected to appease the fans. Movies such as “The Amazing Spiderman 2” and “X-Men: Days of Future Past” are featured on the list.

Clevver Movies' Erin Robinson discusses the top five list Fandango provided. Be sure to click play to see which films made the top five, the films that are shockingly absent from the list and finally, which film is the most anticipated film of 2014.

What films do you look forward to seeing this year? Did they make it on the list?
