2014 Rose Parade tickets & parking on sale at Sharp Seating Feb. 1

Sharp Seating Company, the official grandstand seating provider for the Rose Parade, announced on Tuesday that ticket sales for the 2014 Rose Parade and other Tournament of Roses events open on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at 9 a.m. for in-person and phone orders. Online sales begin the evening of Jan. 31. The Rose Parade will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014 at 8 a.m.

Prices range from $45 to $90, depending on the location on the route. Sharp divides the Rose Parade route into four sections:

  • Area One (between the start on S. Orange Grove and Colorado Blvd. at Fair Oaks), $81-$90. This is the prime location where media are stationed and within walking distance of the Rose Bowl.
  • Area Two (between Fair Oaks and Lake Avenues), $65
  • Area Three (between Lake and Allen Avenues), $45-$65
  • Area Four (between Allen and Grand Oaks Avenues), $45-$65

Seats at the very beginning of the Rose Parade route (164 and 155 S. Orange Grove) sell for a discounted price of $81. Sindee Riboli, president of Sharp Seating Company, says “We offer two grandstands at a 10 percent discount because they are right at the beginning and quite often some of the first five or so entries do not perform.” People seated in those grandstands will see all the entries. Tours receive one free ticket for every 50 paid tickets. Portable restrooms for Sharp patrons are located behind the grandstands.

Grandstand seats and parking in Area 2 are also available beginning in the fall at Pasadena Presbyterian Church, on the northwest corner of Colorado Blvd. and Madison Ave. Ticket prices have not yet been set, but for the past few years have been $65 ($45 for clergy and active duty military) and include continental breakfast and indoor restrooms. Parking is $20 for the parade and $50 for overnight RV parking; proceeds benefit the youth of Pasadena Presbyterian Church. The church accepts only cash or checks, and tickets may be purchased in person or through the mail. Details are available on the PPC website, or call (626) 793-2191, ext. 353.

Rose Parade programs are sold by both Sharp Seating and Pasadena Presbyterian Church.
