On Tuesday, December 17, 2013, The Huffington Post made the announcement that the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees have been announced. As in past years, the inductees will be sure to please some music fans while others will be displeased. The musicians being honored on April 10, 2014 include:

  • Kiss
  • Nirvana
  • Peter Gabriel
  • Cat Stevens
  • Linda Ronstadt
  • Hall & Oates

The lucky six were chosen from a field of sixteen nominees that were voted on bu more than 700 voters from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation and a fan ballot. Three of top five fan vote getters will be inducted next spring in New York City.

"This year's Hall of Fame Inductees really capture the passion of the fans," said Joel Peresman, President and CEO of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation.
