On April 12, 2014, join fellow Hoosiers at Military Park for the Komen Central Indiana Race for the Cure to support the Susan G Koman Foundation. Indianapolis has been the proud host of this event since 1992 with the majority of proceeds going to raise breast cancer awareness in 21 surrounding counties.
Race day starts early with registration and packet pick-up from 7:00am to 8:30am at the registration shelter (you can also register online). Opening ceremonies will then begin consisting of the Annual Pink Parade of Breast Cancer Survivors: a truly inspiring, can't-miss part of the ceremony, and the always fun to watch Kids 100 Yard Dash. The remainder of race events include the 5K Timed Competitive Run (9:00am), the 5K Non Competitive Run/Walk (9:10am), and the 1 Mile Family Walk (9:20am).
So grab your race team, put on something pink and come out to Military Park on Saturday, April 12, 2014, to have some fun and support a great cause. For everyone's safety no pets are allowed on the course. Strollers and wagons are welcome, but encouraged to participate in the Family Walk.
