Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch led the team with a 14th-place qualifying run in the second round of knock-out qualifying, as all three JGR teams failed to advance to the final round on Friday at Michigan International Speedway. Busch qualified the No. 18 M&Ms Toyota Camry at a speed of 200.842 mph (35.849 seconds) for Sunday’s Quicken Loans 400.

Matt Kenseth qualified the No. 20 Dollar General Toyota 21st with a speed of 199.967 mph (36.006 seconds), while Denny Hamlin will start the No. 11 FedEx Express Toyota from the 29th position after a fast lap of 199.933 mph (36.012 seconds).

Kevin Harvick won the pole with a track record speed of 204.557 mph (35.198 seconds), and starts Sunday’s race next to Jeff Gordon (203.776 mph/35.333 seconds). Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Aric Almirola make up Row Two, followed by Paul Menard and Brad Keselowski in Row Three. Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch, Joey Logano, Brian Vickers, Jamie McMurray and Kyle Larson round out the top 12.

Qualifying for the Nationwide Series Oillie’s Bargain Outlet 250 takes place Saturday at 10:35 a.m. ET, followed by the green flag at 2 p.m. ET. The Sprint Cup Series Quicken Loans 400 goes green Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. Keep up with the action at
