Charlotte Seen presented Passport For Fashion, April 26, 2014, at Silver Hammer Studios at the NC Music Factory. Passport For Fashion was created to raise awareness of charities while sharing an evening with fashion, style and fun. Charlotte Seen is the driving force behind the current growth of the Fashion Industry in Charlotte. They provide a forum for designers, models, hairdressers, makeup artists, and various industry professionals to grow and showcase their talents.
As you entered the Passport For Fashion show, you were greeted with cuisine tasting appetizers, wine sampling, personal cocktail service, apparel from Imperial Black and models striking a pose among the background scenery of the jungle and bamboo theme. Among my favorites of the evening were recyclable designs made out of potato chip and Dorito bags and the jungle designs. The fashion show provided live animals from the zoo on the runway and over 100 looks by professional models.
The Charity Event for the Passport for Fashion was DrumsForCures, which produces DRUMSTRONG, the charity that provides multicultural, musical, charity events showcasing available resources such as survivorship, education and research that support people with cancer and those who love them.
Charlotte Fashion Week, NC Largest Fashion Show Week will take place September 16 – 20, 2014. The Charities for Fashion Week will be Levine Children’s Hospital.
