2014 Oscar nominees to watch with Xfinity On Demand

The 86th Academy Awards, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, will take place this Sunday, March 2, at 6:30 p.m. MT on ABC. Five of the nine Best Picture nominees are availble now on Xfinity TV On Demand, along with 130 previous winners and many of the Best Picture winner from the past 25 years.

Gravity, with ten Oscar nominations including Best Picture, is available for purchase and to rent. Sandra Bullock and George Clooney star in this riveting film about an engineer and an astronaut who travel out into space, and soon find themselves alone.

12 Years a Slave, a favorite for Best Picture among critics and with nine Academy Award nominations, can be purchased now in the Xfinity TV Store and rented on Xfinity On Demand beginning March 18. Best Actor nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor plays “Solomon Northrop” in a heart wrenching film about a free black man, captured and sold into slavery on a plantation in New Orleans in the late 1800’s.
