2014 Northeast snow storm flight cancellations & airline delay information

The first snow storm of the year is causing massive flight cancellations and airline delays on January 2, 2014. Winter storm Hercules is bringing more than a foot of snow to the Northeast, forcing more than 5,000 flights to be affected by impending winds and drifting snow.

Airlines including Southwest Airlines, Jet Blue, American Airlines, US Airways, Delta Airlines are posting delays, cancellations, and ticket change policies for flights in and out of Boston Logan, T.F. Green, LaGuardia and JFK airports.

Check with your airline for the latest information on cancelations and delays during the snowstorm as the information will change as the storm progresses.

Jet Blue will waive change/cancel fees and fare differences for customers traveling on Thursday, January 2, 2014 and Friday, January 3, 2014 to/from the following cities.

Delta Airlines: If your flight is canceled or delayed, you may be able to get a refund. During the storm, you may make a one-time change to your ticket without fee if you are scheduled to travel to, from, or through these destinations Jan 2 - 3, 2014. Get current info about your flight plans or choose to have updates sent directly to your wireless device or email with Delta Messenger.

US Airways: Change fee policies have been "relaxed" if you book the same origin and destination and are scheduled to travel on Jan. 2 - 3, 2014. See the list of cities affected and flight information here.
