2014 Nissan NV Cargo: It makes good business sense

If your business involves hauling stuff around, Nissan has a great vehicle for you. The Nissan NV Cargo NV 1500 is easy to use, easy to drive and easy to afford.
The NV is a commercial van that comes in three versions: NV 2500 HD and the NV 3500 HD, in addition to the 1500. All are cargo vans, but you can also get the 3500 as a passenger van that seats 12.
The NV 1500 has 234.1 cubic feet of cargo space, and that space is easy to access thanks to a sliding side door with a nearly 42-inch opening. Or you can open the side-by-side rear doors that swing outward.
The NV might not win any awards for its looks – it’s basically a box on wheels with a slightly extended front end. But some folks might find that appealing.
The NV 1500, which seats two, is powered by a 4.0-liter V-6 that makes 261 horsepower and 281 pounds-feet of torque. It has a five-speed automatic transmission and a payload capacity of 2,758 pounds. Towing capacity is 7,000 pounds.
The great thing about the NV is its versatility.
You can use it as a mobile office by setting up a small table and a seat in the back, where you can get work done at the job site.
Or just take advantage of all that room to haul around whatever supplies or inventory you need.
Between the two seats is a center console that is large enough to hold a laptop computer, tablet or file folders.
For businesses that need to be mobile, this machine is pretty hard to beat.
It also makes good business sense.
You won’t hurt the bottom line with fuel costs, because it gets 24 mpg city, 25 highway – very good for a vehicle of this size. And it takes regular gasoline.
You also won’t excessively drive up capital expenses by purchasing one (or more) of these rides. Our tester was priced at around $23,000.
So if you’re looking for sensible transportation to help run your business, you won’t beat the Nissan NV Cargo.
