Sisters Brittany and Courtney Force qualified No. 1 in Top Fuel and Funny Car, respectively, on Saturday at Heartland Park Topeka, home of the NHRA Kansas Nationals. Vincent Nobile narrowly beat Erica Enders-Stevens for the Pro Stock No. 1.

Brittany Force earned the top spot on the Top Fuel ladder with the fastest pass of her young career, 3.746 seconds at 329.75 mph; she faces Luigi Novelli in the first round of eliminations. JR Todd, Shawn Langdon, Steve Torrence and Tony Schumacher round out the top five qualifiers in Top Fuel.

Courtney Force took the top spot in Funny Car with a 4.009-second pass at 322.96 mph and faced Dale Creasy Jr. in the first round on Sunday. John Force Racing swept the top three spots on the Funny Car ladder, with patriarch John in second and Robert Hight in third. Matt Hagan and Alexis DeJoria round out the top five.

Nobile’s fast pass of 6.601 seconds at 208.71 mph beat Enders-Stevens’ 6.606 seconds at 208.81 mph; Nobile will face Mark Hogan in Sunday’s opening round. Shane Gray, Jeg Coughlin Jr. and Dave Connolly round out the Pro Stock top five.
