The 2014 NHL live stream and TV coverage for the NHL Eastern Conference finals continues Monday night when the New York Rangers take on the Montreal Canadiens in Game 2 of their best-of-seven series. The way Game 1 finished, the Canadiens can't wait to hit the ice and try to right the ship in tonight's NHL live stream action.

According to a Sportsline report on May 19 the New York Rangers dominated the Canadiens in Game 1 right from the opening face off as they rolled to a 7-2 win. The Rangers have now taken the home-ice advantage away from the Canadiens, but the way these two teams have played so far in the 2014 playoffs that may not mean much. Either way, Montreal knows they can't afford to fall down 0-2 in this series with games four and five being played in New York.

Montreal head coach Michel Therrien isn't just concerned his team being down 1-0, but the health of his number one goalie. According to an ESPN report, Canadiens goaltender Carey Price is out for the remainder of the Eastern Conference finals against the New York Rangers, coach Michel Therrien told reporters Monday morning.

"We'll see how he reacts to the therapy and on (Monday) I'll be in a better position to say if he can play or not," said Therrien. "Right now I can't, although I wish I could." "I'm really disappointed," Therrien said. "Obviously he's our best player. Looking at the incident, it's a reckless play. That's the truth."

This is a serious game changer for the Habs. It's not know at the moment who the Canadiens will go with in net tonight. The choices will most likely be backup Peter Budaj, who came in for Price for the third period of Game 1, or Dustin Tokarski, who played 41 games for the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League this season.

This certainly wasn't in the game plan for the Canadiens, but they will have no choice but to move forward without their number one guy. Las Vegas odds makers have Montreal as a slight favorite in Game 2 at -120 with the over under number set at 5.

Fans can catch all of the Game 2 action on NBC Sports Network nationally and streaming live online through NBC Sports Extra. The puck is scheduled to drop at 8 p.m. ET.
