The 2014 NHL playoffs live stream and TV coverage continues Wednesday with an NHL double-header that includes a Game 7 between the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins. Boston had a chance to close out this series Monday night in Montreal but couldn’t get the job done as the Canadiens forced a Game 7 with a 4-0 victory. Tonight's NHL live stream schedule also include Game 6 between the Kings and Ducks at 9:30 p.m. ET.
According to a Sportsline report on May 14, Montreal kept their hopes alive for advancing to the NHL Eastern Conference Finals by winning Game 6, but they know now that they have to have an even stronger Game 7 tonight in Boston. Montreal star P.K. Subban has been one of the best players on the ice for the Habs this series and he is excited about tonight's Game 7 opportunity.
''That's what playoffs is all about, man,'' Subban said after the Canadiens won Game 6 to force the series back to Boston's TD Garden for a decisive seventh game. ''I hope their crowd is louder. ... I hope it gets nasty, I hope it gets dirty.'' ''It's going to be great,'' he told reporters after the Game 6 victory. ''I can't wait for the crowd, the noise, the energy in the building. I can't wait to take that all away from them.'
Tonight's match-up will be the ninth time these two Original Six rivals have met in a must win Game 7. Boston won the most recent match-up back in 2011.
Boston may be the 2013-14 President's Cup winner, but so far Montreal has been pretty successful against the Bruins this season. The Canadiens have won 6 of the 10 meetings this year, including three wins at Boston. Obviously when these two teams meet up, home ice is nice for the crowd support, but both the Canadiens and Bruins have proven they can win on the road.
Las Vegas odds makers have Boston as the favorite in tonight's match-up at -180 with the over/under number set at 5. This game is going to be a battle to the end and it wouldn't be a surprise to see it end up in overtime!
Fans can catch all of the action live on the NBC Sports Network and streaming online through NBC Sports Extra. The action is scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m. ET. Who is your pick to win this big Game 7 and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals?
