The 2014 NHL playoffs live stream and TV coverage continues Friday with two games on the schedule including the New York Rangers taking on the Pittsburgh Penguins in a must win Game 5 for New York. The Rangers took home-ice advantage away from Pittsburgh after they defeated the Penguins in Game 1 by the final score of 3-2. However since then Pittsburgh has taken over this best-of-seven series thanks to Marc-André Fleury. Tonight's NHL live steaming action is going to be must see playoff hockey!

According to a Sportsline report on May 9, the Pittsburgh goal keeper has lead the Penguins to three straight wins, two of them shutouts, helping Pittsburgh take a commanding 3-1 series lead. The Rangers may be down 3-1 in the series but Pittsburgh's captain Sidney Crosby knows that the Rangers won't bow out gracefully in Game 5. The Rangers will play desperate, knowing that the odds are against them, and that can be a dangerous thing for Pittsburgh.

"We know they are going to be desperate," Penguins captain Sidney Crosby said. "They have a lot of depth, and a lot of guys that can create things, so we have to have the same mentality that we had."

Crosby may be correct. In an odd way, the pressure is on Pittsburgh to close out this series. Now that the Rangers trail 3-1, no one expects them to win. However if New York can win Game 5 tonight in the Steel City, they know anything can happen at Madison Square Garden in Game 6.

The Rangers had a bit of bad luck to go along with their losing ways. Game 4 saw the winning goal for Pittsburgh deflect off of New York defenseman Marc Staal's skate and trickle by Henrik Lundqvist. Those are the kind of things that happen when things are going bad. Rangers fans hope somehow they can turn their misfortunes around tonight as New York tries to crawl back into this series one game at a time.

Las Vegas odds makers have Pittsburgh as the favorite in tonight's Game 5 at -175 with the over/under set at 5. Fans can catch all of the Game 5 action nationally on NBC Sports Network and streaming live online through NBC Sports Extra starting at 7 p.m. ET.
