The 2014 NFL Draft begins this Thursday. I am quite excited, but I also just want them to get on with it already, considering that they pushed it back to early May. As I do every year, I am providing two mock drafts. I will do one where I predict what every team will do, but first I am going to give my picks for what I feel every team should do. And here I go...

1. Houston Texans: Jadeveon Clowney, DE, South Carolina

2. St. Louis Rams: Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn

3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Khalil Mack, OLB, Buffalo

4. Cleveland Browns: Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville

5. Oakland Raiders: Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson

6. Atlanta Falcons: Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M

7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan

8. Minnesota Vikings: Blake Bortles, QB, Central Florida

9. Buffalo Bills: Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, S, Alabama

10. Detroit Lions: Darquez Dennard, CB, Michigan State

11. Tennessee Titans: Aaron Donald, DT, Pittsburgh

12. New York Giants: Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M

13. St. Louis Rams: Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State

14. Chicago Bears: C.J. Mosley, LB, Alabama

15. Pittsburgh Steelers: Calvin Pryor, S, Louisville

16. Dallas Cowboys: Ra'shede Hageman, DT, Minnesota

17. Baltimore Ravens: Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina

18. New York Jets: Marqise Lee, WR, USC

19. Miami Dolphins: Zach Martin, OT, Notre Dame

20. Arizona Cardinals: Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M

21. Green Bay Packers: Morgan Moses, OT, Virginia

22. Philadelphia Eagles: Jason Verrett, QB, TCU

23. Kansas City Chiefs: Brandin Cooks, WR, Oregon State

24. Cincinnati Bengals: Kyle Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech

25. San Diego Chargers: Louis Nix III, DT, Notre Dame

26. Cleveland Browns: Odell Beckham Jr., WR, LSU

27. New Orleans Saints: Anthony Barr, OLB, UCLA

28. Carolina Panthers: Cyrus Kouandijo, OT, Alabama

29. New England Patriots: Stephon Tuitt, DE, Notre Dame

30. San Francisco 49ers: Bradley Roby, CB, Ohio State

31. Denver Broncos: Kony Ealy, DE, Missouri

32. Seattle Seahawks: Timmy Jernigan, DT, Florida State

There you go. In this scenario, I have the Lions taking Dennard, whereas in the past I have preffered Gilbert. However, some of Gilbert's value comes from his return skills, and Detroit is set there. Dennard is probably a bit more reliable when it come to straight cornerback play, which is what the Lions need most. Plus, he's a Michigan State product. That... means nothing, but it's kind of cool.
