The Men's 2014 NCAA Hockey Tournament live stream and TV schedule continues today with four Round 1 match-ups and two Round 2 games as teams battle it out for a shot at a trip to Philadelphia next week for the 2014 Frozen Four.
According to a NCAA.com report on March 28 yesterday's winners included Ferris State, Providence, North Dakota and Union (NY). Now all four of these teams are one win away from a trip to the Frozen Four and one step closer to a NCAA Championship.
After both coming off impressive wins, Union will now face Providence with a shot to advance to next week's Frozen Four. Union improved 13-0-1 in their last 14 games and is looking like a team that wants a shot at a title after thrashing Vermont 5-2. Max Novak and Matt Hatch each scored two goals for Union in the win.
They will now face Providence who is coming off of an impressive performance vs. Quinnipiac.
The Friars dominated right from the opening face-off as they cruised to the 4-0 win, giving them a shot at capturing the East Regional Championship today vs. Union. To say Providence was overdue for a win in the postseason is an understatement. Yesterday's 4-0 victory was the Friars first in the NCAA tournament win since 1991.
