The Men's 2014 NCAA Hockey Tournament live stream and TV schedule gets underway today with three games on the schedule including Ferris State taking on Colgate. The Bulldogs are hoping the fourth time is the charm when it comes to playing Colgate this season.
According to a Mlive.com report on March 27, Colgate has defeated Ferris State two out of three times this season, however the only game either team is going to remember is the fourth meeting that will take place this afternoon from the U.S. Bank Arena, in Cincinnati, Ohio as the drive towards a NCAA championship begins this afternoon.
The winner of this game will advance to play either Wisconsin or North Dakota with a shot at advancing to the 2014 Frozen Four. Interestingly enough, Colgate may have to watch out for Ferris State's second line more than its first in today's game.
Ferris State's center Cory Kane and forwards Andy Huff and Gerald Mayhew have been on a roll. These three players have been a machine for the Bulldogs of late as they scored four of the Bulldogs six goals and had eight points overall in the two games of the WCHA Final Five Championship last weekend. If they keep that up they will give Colgate all they can handle.
Colgate will be making their first NCAA tournament appearance since 2005 and carries a squad that is the youngest in the NCAA. With 17 freshman (rookies) and sophomores, and only two seniors, Colgate's future looks bright.
College hockey fans can catch all the action for this game nationally on ESPNU and streaming live online through WatchESPN starting at 4:30 p.m. EST.
