Kyle Busch Motorsports owner/driver Kyle Busch set a new track record on Friday night, winning the pole for the NC Education Lottery 200 Camping World Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The driver of the No. 51 Hiring Our Heroes/ToyotaCare Toyota Tundra won the pole with a lap of 183.773 mph (29.384 seconds) in the final minute of knock-out qualifying Friday.
Reigning Truck Series champ Matt Crafton (182.741 mph/29.550 seconds) starts on the outside pole, with Brad Keselowski, Ron Hornaday Jr. and former KBM driver Brian Ickler round out the top five.
Darrell Wallace Jr., in the No. 54 Toyota Time Sales Event Tundra for KBM, also made it to the final round of knock-out qualifying. He’ll start 11th after a lap of 180.385 mph (29.936 seconds).
