The 2014 NBA playoff live stream and TV coverage continues Friday with three games on the schedule including the Chicago Bulls taking on the Washington Wizards. Many experts predicted the Bulls would advance and defeat the Wizards in this best-of-seven first round action, but it's the Bulls who are in early trouble. ESPN will carry tonight's NBA live stream action for Game 3.
According to a Sportsline report on April 25, the Wizards shocked the experts, and maybe even their own fans by winning both games at the United Center in Chicago. Washington leads the series 2-0 as they prepare for their first home playoff game in six years. For a team that has problems drawing big crowds, the owner of the Wizards is hoping the Verizon Center can be as loud and intimidating as the United Center was.
''Come on out and enjoy playoff basketball. Be ready to join the show and get in at tip-off or before,'' owner Ted Leonsis wrote Thursday on his blog. ''Don't be too cool for school and stroll in at end of first period - I never understood that about some NBA crowds. You pay for a full game of basketball; get in the mix with your friends and family at tip-off, please.''
Washington ranked 18th among 30 NBA teams in attendance in 2014, but if they win tonight it would be hard to imagine anything less than a packed house for Game 4. Washington finished with a 22-19 record at home this season, which actually ranks last among all the playoff teams. However, you can throw the records out at this point. If they win tonight the Wizards will have a 3-0 advantage and will most likely be advancing to Round 2 of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
If the Wizards do sell out the next two games, they will have the advantage according to recent history. Washington sold out four times during the regular season - and they won all four games vs. much better opponents. The Wizards defeated Miami twice, OKC and the Brooklyn Nets when the venue was sold out.
Las Vegas odds makers have the Wizards as a 3 point favorite with the over/under number set at 183. The Bulls need this game desperately, but Vegas thinks the Wizards will go up 3-0 in the series.
Fans can catch all the action for this key Game 3 nationally on ESPN and streaming live online through Watch ESPN starting at 8 p.m. EST. Will the Bulls get back in the series, or will the underdog Wizards take a huge 3-0 lead?
