The 2014 NBA Finals will be a repeat of the 2013 finale as the San Antonio Spurs will take on the Miami Heat for the second straight season. According to a Sportsline report on May 31, it took an overtime frame, but the Spurs finished off the OKC Thunder last night by the final score of 112-107 Saturday night and will now advance to the NBA Finals and a rematch with the Miami Heat.

San Antonio will host Game 1 on Thursday night, and revenge will be front and center for Tim Duncan and his teammates. The Spurs led Miami 3-2 in the 2013 NBA Finals before losing a thrilling Game 6 in overtime 103-100, and eventually losing Game 7. Duncan remembers the feeling of walking off the court a loser, but the long time All-Star is glad his team is facing the Heat once again - and this time he feels his Spurs will finish on top.

"People keep talking like we weren't close to winning, but we were ready to win last year," Spurs center Tim Duncan said. "We're happy it's the Heat again. We've got that bad taste in our mouths still."

The odds have been set for this series and according to several sports books, including the LV Hilton this series is a coin toss! Odds makers have the series as even money as of Sunday afternoon, however that could change a bit before they tip-off Thursday night. Early reports also have the Spurs as a Game 1 favorite at -4, with the over/under number posted at 198.

This series will have many plots and themes besides just a championship on the line. The number one question that will surely be asked all series long will be "Is this be the last time Miami fans will see LeBron James in a Heat uniform?" Of course LBJ is a free agent this off-season.
