2014 NBA Draft recap: All 30 picks from the first round

Thursday, June 26, 2014, is the night that will go down in history as one of the greatest ever for so many young men. The 2014 NBA Draft meant that a lot of careers were going to officially start and a lot of money was going to be coming their way. These talented players all hoped to be picked as high as possible, and the number one overall pick belonged to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and they selected Andrew Wiggins out of Kansas.

As expected, Duke power forward Jabari Parker went second overall to the Milwaukee Bucks.

A few weeks ago, everyone fully thought that Kansas center Joel Embiid would go first, but an injury pushed him down. Some mock drafts actually had him falling all the way down to the Philadelphia 76ers with the 10th pick, but they decided to take him with their third pick.

From there, things got a bit confusing and unexpected. A number of picks throughout the rest of the top 10 were rather strange and let a lot of people scratching their heads. Still, it's the way the picks fell the way they did, and teams now have their new players.

There's no telling what the future holds but here is a full recap of the first round of the 2014 NBA Draft:
