The 2014 NBA All-Star starters have been announced. Leading the pack is Miami Heat forward LeBron James. The four-time MVP led all vote getters with 1,416,419 votes.

Joining James in the Eastern Conference are Indiana Pacers forward Paul George with 1,211,318 votes. This is Paul’s second All-Star Game and his first as a starter. Also making his second All-Star appearance and first as a starter is Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving (860,221). Rounding out the starting five is New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony (935,702) and Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade (929,542).

The leading vote getter in the Western Conference is Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant with 1,396,294 votes. Other Western Conference starters include Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love (661,246), Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin (688,466), Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant (988, 884), and Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (1,047,281).

This will be Curry’s first All-Star Game. Bryant, is currently out with a fractured lateral tibial plateau in his left knee. Bryant was expected to return two weeks before the All-Star Game, but now his return is in question.

Kevin Love trailed Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard in the last voting returns by over 26,000 votes and wound up passing Howard by almost eight thousand votes.

All-Star reserves will be announced on Thursday, January 30 on TNT.

The 2014 NBA All-Star Game takes place Sunday, February 16 live on TNT from New Orleans.
