2014 MTV Video Music Award details and nominees revealed

Some of the hottest names in music are up for their own Moon Man. MTV has released of list of nominees for the 2014 VMAs and they include Miley Cyrus, Jay-Z, Katy Perry, The Black Keys, Drake, and Sia among others. Beyonce leads the pack with eight nominations under her belt, including Video of the Year and Best Female. Rappers Iggy Azalea and Eminem are up for seven awards, including Best Hip Hop Video. Azalea is also up for Video of the Year and Best Female as well. Fans can start voting in several categories on MTV's website. The network also announced a new category, Best Lyric Video, which fans can also vote for on social media. The winner of this award will be announced at a later date. The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards will premiere Sunday, August 24 and will be held live at the Forum in Inglewood, California. So far Ariana Grande, Usher, and 5 Seconds of Summer are scheduled to perform. For more information on the ceremony, visit MTV.com.
