2014 Lunch Unplugged lineup announced

Are you looking for something to do to brighten up your lunch hour? Des Moines Performing Arts and the Downtown Community Alliance announced the lineup for the 2014 Lunch Unplugged concert series yesterday afternoon. The annual concert series will run from February 27 to April 24 and has expanded its scope this year to include comedy, magic, and ballet as well. Each event runs from noon to 1 p.m. at the Temple Theater, and admission is only $5. Tickets for the events can be purchased through Des Moines Performing Arts, and they go on sale on Monday, February 10. Here is a look at the schedule for the fourth year of Lunch Unplugged.

Thursday, February 27 – Des Moines indie pop band Parlours
Thursday, March 6 – Milwaukee jazz pop diva Roxi Copland
Thursday, March 13 – Des Moines folk band The River Monks
Thursday, March 20 – Ballet Des Moines
Thursday, April 3 – Comedy & magic with John & Patrick (of Triple Espresso)
Thursday, April 24 – Des Moines alternative pop band Annalibera

Des Moines Performing Arts and the Downtown Community Alliance have not announced anything about this year's food options or pricing as of yet. For more information on the 2014 Lunch Unplugged concert series go to the Des Moines Performing Arts website.
