The 2014 NCAA basketball live stream and TV schedule for March 1 has a lot of key conference games, none of which may be bigger than Louisville taking on Memphis. Once again Louisville seems to be hitting their stride at the right time as they come into the month of March smoking hot.
According to an ESPN report on Feb. 28, Louisville is riding a seven game winning streak and has won 11 of their last 12 games overall. At 24-4, (13-2 in conference play) Louisville is currently tied with Cincinnati for the top spot in the American Athletic Conference.
Memphis is tied for fourth place in the conference, but at 10-5 in conference play they can climb closer to a shot at a regular season conference title, especially since they have already beaten Louisville once this year. A win on Saturday would give Memphis a sweep over the Cardinals.
However, the Tigers have been slipping of late.
Memphis comes into this big match-up off of a loss to a sub-par Houston squad and Memphis coach Josh Pastner is fed up - especially with senior guards Chris Crawford, Joe Jackson and Geron Johnson.
"I said guys, `You have to snap out of this. This is your senior year. If I were a senior, I would be so thrilled about playing. Sometimes you walk around out there like you are in a zombie mode, and we don't need you in a zombie mode.' There is so much to play for, so be excited, thankful and enthused." "Bottom of line is ... if three of our four guards are going to play not well, it's going to make it tough for us," Pastner said.
Memphis will need their guards to be at peak performance if they expect to beat the Cardinals once again.
Las Vegas odds makers have Louisville listed as a 4 point favorite. You can catch all the exciting action for this huge game starting at 2:00 p.m. EST on CBS. It will also be streaming live online at CBS Sports.
