2014 J.D. Power & Associates name car of the year

The all new 2014 Cadillac CTS was the winner this year. Cadillac has always been held as the vehicle for your grandfather. Known as a land yacht; big, spacious, large engine which made it poor on gas mileage, and comfortable, it was considered a good old American car.
However, I believe this has all changed. Now the Cadillac is sportier than ever, still has plenty of room. A couple major differences are the exterior as well as engine changes. To provide the owner with much better gas mileage the CTS4 2.0T is available with a 2.0litre turbo charged 272 hp engine which allows 20/30 miles per gallon. It is also available as the CTS 3.6 which comes with a 3.6litre 321 hp engine which gets you 18/32 miles per gallon. What Cadillac says will be coming is the CTS Vsport which is the 3.6litre 420 hp engine because it also comes with twin turbo.
The CTS4 2.0T will come base model at $60,325, surprisingly enough the CTSVsport is said to come off the line at $59,995 so for $330 cheaper you can get the bigger engine though you will have to sacrifice the gas mileage a little.
Before, the Cadillac basically relied on the fact that they were built like tanks back in the day, you could hit one of the cars with a new one made of plastic bumpers and you would barely scratch the paint (kind of joking but not really). Now the impressive safety features that come with this car are second to none. Coming with front, front side, front knee, rear side, as well as front and side curtain airbags and still comes factory with OnStar. Some selective features include AWD, collision warning, lane-departure warning, auto crash preparations, auto braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, head up display, auto wipers and headlights, back up camera, auto parking, and even vibrating Safety Alert Seat. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave it 5 stars which is their max rating.
With HID headlights, LED lights surrounding the headlights, LED taillights. The CTS stands at an impressive 57.2” tall. This Cadillac is no longer even for grandpa anymore. It’s got so much technology and advanced engineering involved in it he wouldn’t want anything to do with this car, however you being born in this century, owning a smart phone and have upgraded from the VCR to a Blu Ray player. If you have the $60,000 to cover the price and you love a made in America stamp on your car. Go for it, you have my blessings.
