Team Penske driver Will Power won the pole for Sunday’s Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama Verizon IndyCar Series at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham. His speed of 121.209 mph (1:08.3120) was fastest in the Firestone Fast Six knock-out qualifying round on Saturday.

James Hinchcliffe starts on the outside pole following his fast lap of 121.157 mph (1:08.3409). 2013 Barber champ Ryan Hunter-Reay qualified third with a speed of 121.006 mph (1:08.4264) and starts next to Josef Newgarden (120.929 mph/1:08.4702).

Scott Dixon (120.849 mph/1:08.5151) and Helio Castroneves (120.654 mph/1:08.6258) make up Row Three, with Carlos Munoz (120.631 mph/1:08.6388) and Juan Pablo Montoya (120.620 mph/1:08.6453) in Row Four. Marco Andretti (120.588 mph/1:08.6634) and Simon Pagenaud (120.230 mph/1:08.8682) round out the top 10.
