Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch finished third in Saturday’s History 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway behind another Kyle – Larson – who picked up his second Nationwide Series win, and Brad Keselowski. Busch’s JGR teammates Matt Kenseth and Elliott Sadler also finished in the top 12 at Charlotte.
Busch, who started on pole in the No. 54 Monster Energy Toyota Camry, led twice for 27 laps as Sprint Cup Series drivers swept five of the top six spots in the race. Kenseth, in the No. 20 GameStop/Mario Kart Toyota, finished sixth after starting seventh, while Nationwide Series regular Sadler finished 12th in the No. 11 OneMain Financial Toyota after starting from the 10th position.
Larson, who led a race-high 82 laps, Keselowski (led 22 laps) and Busch were followed across the finish line by Kevin Harvick and former JGR driver Brian Scott, the first Nationwide Series regular across the line.
The Nationwide Series gets back on track next Saturday, May 31st at Dover International Speedway. Keep up with the action at joegibbsracing.com.
