The annual Heads-N-Tails Crawfish Boil features food and activities for all ages. Activities will include eating crawfish (and other foods), craft beer sampling, kids activities, and live zydeco music by Mambo Gris Gris and Roux du Bayou. Free kids activities include face painting, balloon art, and inflatables.
Crawfish boil prices start at $10 (for one pound of crawfish + one ear of corn + baby red potatoes) and go all the way up to $35 (for four pounds of crawfish + four ears of corn + baby red potatoes). If you don’t like crawfish, there will be other main dish options available—including flounder, shrimp, oysters, gator tail, blue crab, and chicken fingers, as well as fun food like funnel cakes.
Craft breweries offering free samples include Yellowhammer Brewing, Blue Pants Brewery, Straight to Ale, Old Black Bear, Below the Radar, Trim Tab, Rocket Republic, Brew Stooges, and Ole Shed.
According to the Heads-N-Tails Crawfish Boil Facebook page, other activities include free ice cream sandwiches for kids from 3-4 p.m. and Moon Pie Eating Contests (one for kids; one for adults) at 6:00 p.m.
