Andretti Autosport driver Ryan Hunter-Reay took the pole for Sunday’s running of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, race No. 2 on the 2014 Verizon IndyCar Series schedule. His fastest lap during Firestone Fast Six qualifying was 104.462 mph (1:07.8219), ahead of James Hinchcliffe, who put down a fast lap of 104.280 mph (1:07.9403).
Sebastien Bourdais qualified third with a lap of 104.253 mph (1:07.9580), while Josef Newgarden qualified fourth at 104.173 mph (1:08.0097).Rookie Jack Hawksworth (104.108 mph/1:08.0525) and Simon Pagenaud (104.076 mph/1:08.0732) rounded out the Firestone Fast Six.
Scott Dixon, Marco Andretti, Helio Castroneves, Justin Wilson, rookie Carlos Munoz and Oriol Servia rounded out the top 12.

Zach Veach grabbed the pole for the IndyLights Presented by Cooper Tires race with a fast lap of 94.455 mph (1:15.0074), ahead of Gabby Chaves (94.40 mph/1:15.0349). Rookies Matthew Brabham, Alex Baron and Luiz Razia rounded out the top five – get the full field summary here.
