Lorde is predicted to be a winner at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. According to ONE News on Jan. 26, Paul Ellis, one of New Zealand's leading record producers is "pretty certain" the "Royals" singer will take home at least one Grammy on Sunday night.
It is a pretty good bet. The 17-year-old sensation is up for several awards at the Grammys including "Song of the Year" for the hit song "Royals" and Record of the Year. The one Lorde says she would be most proud to win will be for Best Pop Vocal Album.
"The one that means the most to me is probably Best Pop Vocal Album because it's about the album, which is this body of music that I have written which is really important to me."
Ellis agrees with Lorde and also feels that performing on the stage of music's biggest night bodes well for the young singer.
"I think the fact that she is performing at the sow begs very well in her favour. They actually want her there, which is very good, apparently she's got very good seats and hopefully this leads to her name being called out...I'm pretty certain that's going to happen tomorrow."
Lorde will be performing alongside Katy Perry, Stevie Wonder, Pharrell and Robin Thicke at the music award ceremony and she has also been sighted hanging out with some heavyweights. Lorde has become quick pals with Taylor Swift and has been seen hanging out with Rihanna and Katy Perry at the pre-Grammy party at the House of Blues on Sunset.
Sounds like the young, emerging star is already fitting in as a major pop star.
