2014 Golden Globes Television nominations

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced nominations for the 71st annual Golden Globe Awards in December and the Netflix original "House of Cards" and HBO's "Behind the Candelabra" lead landed four nominations each.

The HFPA will announce the winners of the 2014 Golden Globes on January 12, 2014.

From 'The Way, Way, Back' to 'Gravity': the Ten Best Movies of 2013

HBO led all networks with nine each, including a nomination for "Girls" in the Best Television Series Comedy or Musical category. Netflix meanwhile continues to be a force to be reckoned with, picking up six nominations, which ties with Showtime and Starz.

"Breaking Bad", which completed its final season in September, garnered a final nomination for Best Television Drama, as did Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul.

The big shocker was that Showtime's "Homeland" was completely shut out this year.
