Ready or not, the 2014 Golden Globe nominations are in. In a year that could be wide open, "12 Years a Slave" and "American Hustle" lead the pack with seven nominations each.

Among the seven nominations for "12 Years a Slave" nods for Best Motion Picture Drama and Best Director (Steve McQueen), Best Actor(Chiwetel Ejiofor), Best Supporting Actor (Michael Fassbender) and Best Supporting Actress (Lupita Nyong’o).

"American Hustle" answered in each category on the Comedy and Musical side of the nominations, countering with the likes of David O. Russell (Director), Christian Bale (Actor), Bradley Cooper(Supporting Actor), and Jennifer Lawrence (Supporting Actress).
