Presented by Hotel Galvez & Spa and Islander By Choice, the 2014 Galveston Island Beach Revue has revamped their Bathing Beauties Contest. This year, it kicks off May 16th - May 17th. There is a weekend of live music, a movie showing, an assortment of vendors, a charcoal contest, a craft beer tasting, and the world famous Bathing Beauties Contest!

The Bathing Beauties Contest features lovely females displaying vintage-inspired swimsuit fashion. The winner of the 2014 Bathing Beauties contest will put their signature style on a custom developed suit for Fluid Sunwear’s 2015 line. In addition to the custom designed suit, this year’s winner will also receive $750.

Conroe’s Southern Star Brewing Company is providing tastings on Saturday afternoon. Tastings are available in advance for $10. The ever appropriate, Bombshell Blonde Ale, will be available in the craft beer tasting. The charcoal tasting is also $10 (anything that can be made on charcoal), and it is $75 to join as a cook-off team. On Friday night, the Brandon McDermott Band will make their beach revue debut. The Octanes and Grand Old Grizzly will play on Saturday night.
The Bathing Beauties Contest is turning into a full-blown, classic, vintage event.
