Autoblog reported yesterday(Feb. 27,2013) that thanks to Ford’s online configuration tool the starting price for the 2014 Ford Fiesta ST will start at $21,400. In the heavily contested B segment, the Fiesta will face fierce competition on the lots from the likes of the Fiat 500 Abarth, Mazda 2 and Mini Cooper. The regular Ford Fiesta starts at a hair under $16,000 but for an extra $5000, you can treat yourself to Ford’s ST trim that comes equipped with a 1.6 liter turbocharged ecoboost inline four cylinder pumping out a healthy 197 HP and 214 lbs-ft of torque but will still be good for a combined 34 MPG.
A fully loaded Fiesta ST will set you back around $27,000 when all is said and done. Alternatively, you can move up to the Fiesta ST’s bigger brother, the 2014 Ford Focus ST for just $2300 more, which will get you a more powerful turbocharged four cylinder rated at 252 HP and 270 lb-ft of torque.
Either way, the 2014 Ford Fiesta ST will be a hoot to drive and a breeze to park.
