2014 Easter egg hunts near St. Louis: St. Charles County

There are many Easter egg hunts to be found in St. Charles County, including events in St. Charles, St. Peters, O’Fallon and Cottleville. Whether you’re looking for a huge Easter egg hunt complete with cool prizes, or a smaller gathering with fun activities for kids, you’ll find a great selection of Easter events in St. Charles County, just over the river from St. Louis.

St. Charles

First United Methodist Church

First United Methodist Church will host a luncheon and Easter egg hunt on Sunday, April 13 from 12:00-3:00 p.m. The Easter egg hunt takes place at 1:00 p.m. The church is located at 801 First Capitol Drive. Call 636-947-0066 for more information.

City of St. Charles

The city of St. Charles will hold their Breakfast With the Easter Bunny and egg hunt on Saturday, April 12 at 9:00 a.m. at Memorial Hall. Registered participants ages 3-8 will enjoy breakfast, pictures with the Easter Bunny, and an egg hunt after breakfast. The cost is $8 per person except for children age 2 and under, who are admitted for free. Parents should bring their own cameras.

Bass Pro Shop

Bass Pro St. Charles will host Easter activities for kids in-store from April 12 through April 20.

Kids can get a free 4x6 picture with the Easter Bunny on Saturdays and Sundays (April 12-13 and 19-20) from 11:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m., on Monday through Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m., and on Friday, April 18 from 2:00-7:00 p.m.

Children ages 2-10 can participate in a five-egg Easter egg hunt on Saturdays and Sundays from at 2:00 p.m. When all the eggs are found, kids can cash them in for candy.

Kids can color a plaster Easter egg on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00-4:00 p.m., or color a bunny frame or make a scratch art bunny craft on Friday, April 18 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. or on Saturdays and Sunday April 19-20 from 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Crafts available while supplies last.

St. Peters

Lifespring Community Church

Lifespring Community Church will hold their Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 12 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. In addition to an Easter egg hunt, there will be crafts and games for kids. This is a free event.

St. Charles First Assembly of God

On Sunday, April 13, St. Charles First Assembly of God’s St. Peters campus will have an Easter egg hunt spread across nine themed rooms. Kids will explore a tropical jungle, the North Pole and more as they search for eggs. The church will also serve hot dogs and drinks. This event is free to the community and begins at noon.

Mid Rivers Christian Church

Mid Rivers Christian Church will offer a free Easter egg hunt for kids of all ages on Saturday, April 19 at 11:00 a.m. The church is located at 828 Mid Rivers Mall Drive. For more information, call 636-278-3000.

O’Fallon

St. Charles County Parks

St. Charles County Parks will host an Easter egg hunt at Youth Activity Park on Saturday, April 12. Children age 3 and under will begin their egg hunt at 10:00 a.m., children 4-6 will hunt for eggs at 10:30, and the egg hunt for kids 7-12 will begin at 11:00 a.m.

In addition to the Easter egg hunts, children have a chance to win a basket of toys, and visit with the Easter Bunny. Parents should bring their own cameras if photos are desired.

New Life Church

New Life Church will hold an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19 at 10:00 a.m. This is a free event which also includes face painting, prizes, and a visit from the Easter Bunny. The Easter Egg Hunt will be held in Westhoff Park. To register, please call 636-240-3567 or sign up online.

O’Fallon YMCA

The O’Fallon YMCA will have Easter Egg Hunts for kids and dogs on Saturday, April 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Children’s Easter egg hunts will begin at 11:15. Dogs egg hunts will begin at noon. Participants must be registered by April 9. Register in person at 3451 Pheasant Meadow Drive or call 636-379-0092.

River City Rascals - T.R. Hughes

The River City Rascals will host their second annual Easter Egg Hunt at T.R. Hughes Ballpark on Saturday, April 12. This free event is open to kids ages 1-12. Gates open at 10:00 a.m. and the egg hunt begins at 11:00. For more information call 636-240-BATS or visit www.RiverCityRascals.com.

Cottleville

The City of Cottleville’s Eggcellent Hunt will take place at Legacy Park on Saturday, April 19 from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Photos with the Easter Bunny will begin at 10:00 at the Log Cabin. The Easter egg hunt will be on amphitheater hill at 11:30 a.m.
