Earth Day is Tuesday April 22, 2014.

If you live in the Bay Area and you and your significant other are looking for ways to celebrate Earth Day here are some great opportunities for you.

From Sunday April 20th through Tuesday April 22nd Peet's Coffee is offering a FREE medium beverage when you purchase a mug or a tumbler (in stores only).

On Saturday April 26th from 9am to noon, the City of Oakland is looking for volunteers to celebrate it's 20th Annual Earth Day. On Saturday April 26th the City of Alameda will celebrate Earth day in Washington Park at 740 Central Ave from 10am to 3pm. There will be free activities for the kids, games and exhibits. For more information log onto: alamedaca.gov

There are many ways for everyone to give back and help the environment. You can recycle cans, bottles and cardboard, you can purchase and install energy efficient light bulbs in your home and you can conserve water by taking shorter showers. These are only a few ways to get you started.
