2014 Dodge Dart SRT4 set to be worthy successor to late Dodge Neon SRT4

Dodge has recently announced that they will be debuting there all new 2013 Dodge Dart RT at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. With a starting MSRP of around $21,000 and carrying a 184HP powerplant, Dodge hopes that the RT will cool the flames of some hot sedan enthusiasts hoping for a 2014 Dodge Dart SRT4.

But what fans of Dodge cars really want to know is whether Dodge will bring back a true successor to the Dodge Neon SRT4 that ended production back in 2005. Now the flames of the SRT4 fire have been rekindled with a sketch leaking online featuring what the 2014 Dodge Dart SRT4 should look like when revealed to the public (if it ever does). The Front fascia pays tribute to SRT’s design language with a Viper-Esque reshaping to the hood, a large gaping lower bumper supposedly to house a large inter-cooler and an overall wider look out front.

The original Dodge Neon SRT4 was all about having fun on a budget. With a 0-60 time of 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 150 MPH with a MSRP of just under $21,000, the Dodge Neon SRT4 was meant to shame higher priced offerings all at a fraction of the price. That is a large place to fill for the Dodge faithful, and if the renderings of some sketches ring true for the production model, the 2014 Dodge Dart SRT4 seems to be on the right track to wow some SRT faithful.
