The 2014 CWS live stream and TV coverage continues today with two big games on the schedule. Game 1 will feature Mississippi taking on Texas Tech in the losers bracket followed by TCU squaring off against Virginia in the night-cap of today's CWS live streaming action.
According to a lubbockonline.com report on June 16 Texas Tech was leading TCU in the bottom of the 8th inning in their first game of the CWS in Omaha until Boomer White drove in the go-ahead run leading TCU over their Big 12 rival Texas Tech 3-2 in the College World Series on Sunday. Texas Tech still has a chance to advance to the next round - and a possible rematch vs TCU if they can beat Ole Miss this afternoon.
The second game of the day will feature a pair of the top favorites to win the 2014 World Series when TCU battles Virginia. Both teams won their opening round games in dramatic fashion and by just one run.
UVA's Mike Papi saved his best for last as he blasted a RBI double into right-center with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning leading Virginia over Mississippi in the College World Series on Sunday night by the final score of 2-1. UVA may have struggled at the plate, but their pitching was incredible.
Nathan Kirby and Artie Lewicki held Mississippi to one hit combined! now that is something. That is the first time a pitcher (or pitchers) have tossed a one-hitter in 31 years at the College World Series. Las Vegas odds makers both have these games pretty close to a toss-up. In the first game Texas Tech is a slight favorite at -125, while TCU and Virginia are listed at even money, or both -110.
College fans can catch all of the action for both games live on the ESPN family of networks. Below is a list of the odds and how to catch all of the action live on TV or streaming online for today's action.
