See also

There will be a new contest at the 2014 American Sewing Expo called the Fashion Design in Half Scale Challenge. This Challenge is to create a garment on a half scale dress form. The theme is Fashion Icons thru the Ages. An Icon can be defined as someone known for wearing, designing or having a strong influence on fashion.

Participants must purchase a kit that includes the official half scale dress form and a special code to participate in the online sew-a-long. The online portion is hosted by 2013 ASE Teacher of the Year and award winning Fashion Designer, Joi Mahon.

Contestants will be judged on fashionable interpretation of the theme, originality, creativity, technique and construction. Prizes will be awarded to winners.

Fill out your entry form by August 1, 2014. Entries and winners will be on exhibit at the 2014 American Sewing Expo starting September 26, 2014.
