Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., will be the site for the 2014 CMT Music Awards, and thanks to a CMT.com June 4 report, this event will be televised and streaming live in its entirety free online. Coverage for the 2014 CMT Music Awards gets underway with the CMT Music Awards Red Carpet at 7 p.m. EST. Following artist and celebrity arrivals and interviews, the award ceremony has a TV scheduled start time of 8 p.m. EST (7 p.m. CST/5 p.m. PST).

This year’s show will be hosted by Kristen Bell and will feature performances by: Blake Shelton, Brantley Gilbert, Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Jake Owen, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Little Big Town and Lady Antebellum. In addition, R&B singer John Legend will interpret his hit “All of Me” alongside Jennifer Nettles and Hunter Hayes, while pop star Jason Derulo is scheduled to make an appearance with Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line.

“Honestly, it doesn’t feel like work to me,” Bell said after being selected to host the event. “It feels like a lot of fun. I get to work with a lot of fun comedy writers and directors, and we come up with really cool bits, which is what I like to do creatively. In truth, what I do during the show is change into a variety of fancy outfits and read a Teleprompter, so it’s not the hardest job in America. And I have a front-row seat to an amazing concert, so it doesn’t take a lot of convincing to get me to come back.”

Among the highlights of the night, Alan Jackson will be honored for 25 years of outstanding contributions to country music. Carrie Underwood will present him with the honors, followed by tribute performances by Kacey Musgraves and Lee Ann Womack.

Also sharing the Nationwide Insurance Stage this evening will be Brett Eldredge, Cole Swindell, Dan + Shay, Danielle Bradbery, David Nail, Thomas Rhett and Tyler Farr. Other 2014 CMT Music Awards presenters include: Shelton, the Eli Young Band, Jason Aldean, Justin Moore, Urban, Kip Moore, Lionel Richie, Sara Evans, LeAnn Rimes, Rascal Flatts, Cassadee Pope and Vince Neil from Motley Crew.

With a star-studded lineup, it’s clear that this year’s 2014 CMT Music Awards has something for everyone. Music lovers in general cannot afford to miss a great night of music, awards and tributes. The best part of it all is that this event can be seen live on your TV sets as well as online by clicking on the live streaming link provided above.
