The Opening Night Gala for the 2014 Cleveland International Film Festival is taking place tonight at Tower City Center in downtown Cleveland.

The gala will kick off at 7:00 PM at Tower City Cinemas with a screening of the Scottish romantic comedy, "Not Another Happy Ending," followed by an after-party at 9:00 PM at Post Office Plaza, located at 1500 W. 3rd St.

Directed by Scottish filmmaker John McKay and filmed in Glasgow, "Not Another Happy Ending" tells the story of Jane Lockhart (played by actress Karen Gillan), a writer whose debut novel brings her an unimaginable amount of overnight success and happiness, along with one catch- a serious case of writer's block.

As Jane continues to fail at finishing the last chapter of her follow-up novel, her editor Tom Duvall (played by French actor Stanley Weber) decides to take matters into his own hands.

The success of Tom's struggling publishing company rides on the completion of Jane's second novel, and Tom believes that Jane's happiness is causing her writer's block. He sets out to make her miserable, but in the process realizes that he has feelings for her.

The Cleveland Film Festival will run for 12 days and will feature over 350 films.
