The 2014 Chicago Travel & Adventure Show opened on Saturday, January 11, and runs through Sunday January 12, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. Samantha Brown, Host of Travel Channel’s “The Trip: 2014” and Rick Steves, host of “Rick Steves Europe,” were two of several travel celebrities conducting seminars on Saturday to overflowing crowds. Both are scheduled for repeat seminars on Sunday.

In addition, you can see celebrity chefs cook up dishes, often sharing with audience members, enjoy ethnic dance entertainment at the Global Beat Stage, see how long you can stay on a mechanical bull and even try scuba diving.

Almost 200 exhibitors pack the exhibit hall, offering information on trips to domestic locations, as well as international destinations. Whether you’re interested in a cruise, a safari or just a weekend getaway, you’ll find plenty of ideas.

Show hours on Sunday are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $10 or $15 at the door. Note that only cash is accepted if you pay at the box office. The Donald E. Stephens Convention Center is located at 5555 N. River Road in Rosemont, Illinois. For further information about the Chicago Travel & Adventure Show, visit the web site.
