It’s called the “Big Go,” and that’s exactly what NHRA competitors will be doing Wednesday through Monday, August 27th through September 1st at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis. The final race before the Countdown to the Championship for the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series is the historic and prestigious 60th annual Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals, and it features all four of the series’ divisions.

Shawn Langdon (Top Fuel), Robert Hight (Funny Car), Mike Edwards (Pro Stock) and John Hall (Pro Stock Motorcycle) were the winners last season at Indy. The event will also feature the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series and the NHRA Pro Mod Series, as well as the Funny Car final and Pro Stock semifinals and final postponed from Brainerd last weekend. In addition, fans get to watch three special events: the Mopar HEMI Challenge for the Super Stocks and the Traxxas Nitro Shootouts for the Top Fuel and Funny Car teams.

Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis will host the U.S. Nationals Fan Fest on Wednesday, August 27th at 11 a.m. ET. Fan Fest will feature NHRA show cars, live music and plenty of giveaways, along with an autograph session with many of the top professional drivers in the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. There will also be a press conference featuring several new announcements and the random lottery drawings for the No. 8 spots in the Traxxas Nitro Shootouts.

The U.S. Nationals feature five qualifying sessions for the Mello Yello Series, the first one taking place Friday, August 29th at 6 p.m. ET. The second and third sessions take place Saturday, August 30th at 2:30 and 6 p.m. ET, with the final two qualifying sessions on Sunday, August 31st at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. ET.
