See also

The Bonner County Gardeners Association is gearing up for its 2014 membership course! The BCGA’s research based course is a prerequisite to becoming a member unless one is a graduate of a Master Gardener program. Made up of volunteers, the BCGA has a three pronged mission:

1st: They offer and promote educational activities, programs and community service to the people of Bonner County.
2nd: They offer and promote continuing educational opportunities to the members.
3rd: They offer and promote activities that enhance friendships and a spirit of camaraderie amongst the members.

Some of the projects the BCGA will be doing in 2014 include: A bench for the BCGA to be installed in Farmin Park before the Farmer’s Market opening day of May 3; planting the hanging baskets that beautify downtown Sandpoint; the annual garden tour; the Spring Plant Sale and the Fall Plant & Yard Sale; booths at the Home & Garden show, the Farmer’s Market, and the Bonner County Fair; spring and fall Home Horticultural classes; and potluck get togethers at member homes.

The membership course is chocked full of interesting research-based gardening for the Inland Northwest information, with each session presented by a highly qualified/dynamic speaker. The goal of this class is to help our Bonner County neighbors become successful North Idaho gardeners and also become Members of our Association.

The classes will start at 9 am and end at 12:30 or 1 pm, and will be held at the Ponderay Event Center at 401 Bonner Mall Way, Suite F, Ponderay, ID 83852. The cost of the course, which includes the textbook, is $150. The course line up is:
