2014 Amgen Tour of California Stage Seven: Santa Clarita to Pasadena

STAGE seven of the 2014 Amgen Tour of California was held today in Santa Clarita and ended in Pasadena. Today's course was 89.1 miles and it took the riders from Santa Clarita up the mountains of the the Angeles Forest followed by a circuit lap in Pasadena. The cyclists will also have a chance to earn points in two sprints and two climbs. Bradley Wiggins will be defending his yellow jersey once more.

After the dust settles and the race has ended. Stage Seven's winner was Peter Sagan of Cannondale Pro Cycling with a time of 3:24:33 followed by Thor Husvold (BMC Racing Team) and Danny Van Poppel (Trek Factory Racing). The Yellow Jersey leader is still Bradley Wiggins, Will Routley is your KOM leader, Peter Sagan is the Sprint jersey winner and your Best Young Rider is Lawson Craddick. The leader of the team competition is Team Garmin-Sharp.

Tomorrow's stage is the final one of the tour and it will be a circuit race in Thousand Oaks. Bradley Wiggins has a comfortable lead and he'll have to suffer a major setback to lose the lead in the standings.
