This September, several actors/singers who helped make the former Adventurers Club such a memorable Walt Disney World experience will reunite. Returning for its second year, Adventures in Charity offers an evening of original entertainment and features more than a dozen performers who brought the beloved Adventures Club characters to life.

The Adventures in Charity event will take place the evening of Sept. 27 at the Holiday Inn Resort, Lake Buena Vista.

Adventures in Charity not only offers a series of short original pieces, the evening will raise money for the various charities selected by the performers. Of course, the audience will be involved in the fun and the fundraising. Audience members will vote for their favorite pieces, and monies raised will be distributed to reflect their votes.

Graham Murphy – a man of many (Adventurers Club) faces – will serve as the evening’s emcee. As with last year’s event, Murphy has climbed the highest mountain and plumbed the deepest oceans to offer an impressive lineup. The 2014 roster includes actors who performed at last year’s inaugural event and those new to festivities.

Visit the Adventures in Charity performers’ page to see who is scheduled to appear and the charity of their choice. (Scheduled lineup is subject to change.) This year's goal is to raise $10,000 for the performers' charities.

About Adventures Club: “If You Come in Here a Stranger”

Adventurers Club was a nightclub at the now-closed Pleasure Island area of Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort. Themed as a circa-1937 private club for explorers and world travelers, the club featured Audio-Animatronics and other Disney-Imagineereed elements and truly immersive experiences. Disney guests mingled with actors for an evening of conversation, improvisational comedy, shows and drinks.

During the years of its existence (1989 – 2008) the Adventurers Club attracted guests who are Adventurers themselves, faithful fans who remember and celebrate the club’s unique environment and experiences. Adventures in Charity, a non-profit organization, brings together some of these performers and fans for an entertainment experience that benefits several good causes. Kungaloosh!
